Course Content This course reveals keys to effective securities investment decisions for investors with different risk preferences, by introducing analysis procedures of industry cycle and financial statements, valuation analysis and analytical techniques of price trends. Based on knowledge of accounting, financial management and economics, this course is set up as two major parts which begins with an introduction, followed by valuation analysis (chapters 5-8), which is the foundation of investment decisions, and then technical analysis (chapters 9,10,12,13) which demonstrates how chart and index tools, and securities comparative analysis are helpful to investment decisions. 4. Objectives The objectives of this subject are to introduce analytical techniques and theoretical perspectives needed when economic agents engaging securities investments, to further develop students understanding of the basic theory of investments and to provide practical analysis experiences that will enable students to: 1) Explain the relevance of valuation model for securities selection, and also the limitations of valuation model. 2) Explain the relevance of securities price dynamic analysis for securities selection, and also the limitations of securities price information. 3) Extend the applications of analytical tools and techn
