He/She’s… Teaching aids: 1. Pictures. 2. The recorder together with its tape. Teaching procedure: Step 1 Warm-up 1. Sing a song: My New Teacher. Help the students to be familiar with it. 2. Free talk: What grade are you in? Do you have new books? Step 2 Presentation 1. T: Do you have new teachers? Ss: We have a new computer teacher? T: Who’s your computer teacher? Ss: Mr Li is our computer teacher. T: What’s he like? Is he young? Is he…? 2. Help the students to give some information about their new teachers and then present the words: young, old, tall, short, strong, thin, funny and kind 3. Read the words and remember them. Activity : Write the words on the blackboard, get the students to read the words quickly. Divide the whole class into four groups and have a competition. Step 3 Practice 1.
