Analysis of Shandong Finals of CCTV Outlook English Speaking and Talent Competition 2011 2011赛季CCTV希望之星英语风采与演讲大赛山东省赛比赛规则解读 Round 1 （All to 150） In this competition, all the contestants will compete with each other to be a part of the Top 150. It is divided into 2 categories and each category is composed of 2 parts. Round 1 (All to 150) Category 1 Part 1: In this part, contestants will make a 1-minute speech starting with a certain tag line. Part 2: Talent Show: In this part, each of the contestants will be given 1 minute to show their talent. Category 1 makes up 40% of the total score. Round 1 (All to 150) Category 2: Part 1: In this part, each of the contestants will be asked to pick a question then talk about the topic in 1 minute. Part 2: In this part, one of the judges will ask the contestants a few questions. This answer portion will last for 30 seconds. ? Category 2 makes up 60% of the total score. Round 2 (150 to 60) From the contestants in Round 1, 150 had advanced to the second round. In this round the 150 contestants were grouped into 25 groups, each group having 6 members. Contestants will be given a scene to start a story with and also a key word to be used. The first member of the team will continue the story using a key word. The second member will then use his key word to continue the story according to the idea the first member has said. Same will be done by the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th member. Each member is given 1 minute to speak. After all the 6 members of the team have spoken, judges will ask them questions one by one. Round 2 (150 to 60) 2 of the 6 team members will automatically advance to the next round, 3 will be eliminated and 1 will stand by for his/her opponent. Round 2 (150 to 60) PK (25 to 10) For the contestants in the stand by list, 25 contestants were grouped into 5 groups. 5 contestant in one group. Each one needs to make a 1 min statement according to the picture on the screen. Judges will ask each one a question.
