Unit 4 Language and Economy Spot dictation ⑤ A reading knowledge of one approved foreign language is a departmental requirement for certain Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees. Languages (1) accepted are French, German, Spanish and, in some (2) , Russian or a classical language. The language level (3) is a basic reading knowledge equivalent to that of two years of study at the college level. The requirement may be (4) in one of the following ways: by (5) a 202 course in the approved language with a grade of B or (6) ; or by passing a translation test administered by the Department of Languages. The requirement must be completed within six years (7) to the student’s finishing the graduate degree.
