2、丰富多彩,亮点闪烁 一篇高质量的书面表达应该是在语言的精雕细琢、句子结构的多样化上做得很好的。表达形式的多样性、语言的变化使用等手段能给文章增加不少亮点,传递信息的效果也不同凡响,让读者读来兴趣盎然。 1)适量使用词组或习惯用语代替较简单的表达法,以使文章增色。 John works hard, but he will never set the world on fire. set the world on fire(出名)比用become famous /well known更具有亮色。 当然,习语的使用也不是越多越好,应适可而止。 2)适量使用高级词汇。 书面表达中,如果在几处适时使用高级词汇,阅卷人的眼睛为之一亮,顿时精神振奋,这些亮点的价值是不言而喻的。 More schools and hospitals are available for its people. 使用available一词明显比suitable一词好,从一个侧面反映学生对较高级词语的掌握程度,是值得借鉴的。 3)适当运用复杂结构。 书面表达如果整篇全由简单句构成,会让人觉得单调乏味,更不能起到感染读者的作用,所以适当地用些较复杂的结构,如复合句、分词结构、强调句式、倒装结构等会使书面表达增色不少。 Examples Of the two, ECCED is the more expensive, costing 52 yuan, and XD costs 11yuan. (分词结构) The woman came in, a baby on her back. (独立主格结构) Our English teacher, who teaches well, is loved by us all. (定语从句) Never have I seen her before. (倒装结构) He is as busy as a bee today. (使用修辞手法,比quite busy更有色彩) 3、连贯流畅,一气呵成 注意文章的层次、段落、句与句之间的过渡,这样可以使文章通顺、一气呵成,这一点格外重要。可以尽可能多地使用关联词语。 first(ly),second(ly);for one thing…for another; on the contrary; different from; not only/merely…but also; nevertheless, whereas, thus等 把句子、段落等连成整体。 Appreciation Dear Peter, I remember you told me you were interested in teaching in China.
