Mississippi river The geographic core ,in Twain’s early years , was the great valley of the Mississippi River ,main artery of transportation in the young nation’s heart. Keelboats, flatboats, and large rafts carried the first major commerce .Young Mark Twain entered the wave as a cub pilot on a steamboat. Mark Twain participated abundantly in his life , seeking the most exciting adventure, listening to pilothouse talk of feuds. He looked the river as a legend of God ,which filled with mysterious ,in which he can always find some magnificent places .In later life Twain acknowledged that the river had acquainted him with every possible types of human nature. Those acquaintanceships strengthened all his writing. Life on the Mississippi 1.1839,all of Mark Twain families moved to a harbor city around Mississippi river at Missouri state.
