【孩子】:lad(也称laddie)—— the lads表示的就是哥们—— lass(或lassie)即女孩——好孩子 a fine lad,a nice lad
He already knows how to conduct himself。
His behaviour towards her was becoming more and more aggressive.
His conduct at school was disgraceful.
译文:
Such a fine lad!
He came back on the boat in second class, so I thought for sure he’d go first class on the train, but still he went second class.
He hasn’t become haughty and proud and changed his true nature.
He already knows how to conduct himself.

Tasty; delicious to eat
译文
But as it turned out, there wasnt a single thing edible from the cold dishes to the coffee. The soup was cold, and the ice cream was warm. The fish was like the Marine Corps. It apparently had already been on land for several days; the meat was like submarine sailors, having been submerged in water for a long time. Besides the vinegar, the bread, the butter, and the red wine were all sour.
They completely turned their stomach while eating and couldnt hit it off in their conversation either.

译文:
He released his hand and sat down in the chair, fuming.
