The expermi ental results show that themain failure pa-t tern of the specmi ens is shear failure. Then, the axial compression ratio and stirrup ratio about the ductility of ultra- h igh-strength concrete short columns are d iscussed. F inally, the suggested values of the axial compression ratio and stirrup m in mi um characteristics value are obtained from the test resu lts, w hich meet the requirements of ductility.
