The National Standard Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Public Building Amendment Supporting Research Grant Number: G1203-15824 Grant period: (4/1/12–3/31/13) : Sector: Building Industry : Project Description: GB50189 2005 2012 Withlowenergyefficientandhighenergysavingpotential,thepublicbuildings areconsideredasoneofthemostimportantenergysavingobjectivebythe governmentandthecommunity.In2005,theMinistryofConstructionpublished theNationalStandardDesignStandardforEnergyEfficiencyofPublicBuildings (GB501892005);sincethen,thisstandardhasbeenplayingveryimportantrole intheenergyefficiencyworkofChinaviasystemicallyrestrictingthedesignof thepublicbuildings.Todate,thebuildingindustryandmarkethavebeen developedrapidly,anumberofnewtechniquesandfacilitieswithhighefficient havecomeintousing.Thissituationrequiresthetechnicalstandardsmustbe updatedintimetosupplyenoughprovisionsandinformationtotheindustryfor itscontinuabledevelopment.TheamendmentoftheNationalStandardDesign StandardforEnergyEfficiencyofPublicBuildings(GB501892005)hasbeen listedinthePlanof2012NationalProjectConstructionStandardsCompilingand AmendmentbyMOHURD.CABRtakeschargeintheamendment.Thisprojecthas investegatedandsurveythecomlianceofthestandardinthepast7years,figure outtheproblemandflawsforthecurrentimplementation,proposedaseriersof fundementalresearchtosupporttherevisionoftheNationalStandard.
