While he is also somewhat impulsive.; Danny Archer is a smuggler who is extra ordinary clam and wise. He is greedy at first because he wants to get that pink diamond fromSolomon Vandy. However he used to be a mercenarie so he hates the war like poison. In the his deep heart,conscience still exsist,and this films ending prove this.; Maddy Bowen is a reporter who is compassionate and full of sense of justice.She wants to exposed the illegal diamond trade in war zoo.; The story took place in 1999......; Solomon Vandy was originally a fisherman and had a loving home.; Unfortunately,the RUF ravaged(洗劫） the village he lived,took him away and destoryed his home.He lost contact with his families.; Solomon was forced to work at a stope for the RUF.; At the same time ,the smuggler Danny Archer come to Sierra Leone and smuggled his diamond.; Solomon and Danny were put into the same prision and through that ugly man Danny knew that Solomon had a pink diamond .So he decided to help him get out of the prison.; After getting out, Solomon went to find his families on the refugee list.
