ZPEB PROCEDURE FOR “HANGING OFF” BOTH THE TRAVELLING BLOCK AND VARCO TOP DRIVE SYSTEM IN THE DERRICK, THEN SLIPPING AND CUTTING THE DRILL LINE 1. SCOPE This procedure is designed to enable the ZPEB Drilling Rig Manager to control and co-ordinate the task of slipping and cutting the drill line in a safe and proper manner with the required number of rig and wire line personnel. 2. OBJECTIVES To have a procedure in place and to make sure all personnel involved are aware of their duties. This procedure will be discussed all personnel involved at a pre job safety meeting before the task / work starts. 3. APPLICATION To the following ZPEB rig areas; the drill line storage drum / derrick including the Varco Top Drive System / mast / drill floor area of the drilling rig with the cooperation of the Total Drilling Program, Total Company Man. 4. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES ZPEB Rig Manager Toolpusher will coordinate the preparation, moving and positioning of the necessary equipment to complete this task, with the full cooperation of the required numbers of ZPEB rig crew. The ZPEN Rig Manager on site, has full responsibility for all actions covering the following listed guideline instructions to slip and cut the drill line; Confirm with the Company Man the well is stable / safe and its safe to proceed with the task of rigging up the necessary equipment for drill line slip and cut operation All personnel involved must attend a pre job safety meeting to make sure everyone knows their duties and responsibilities. Good communications are essential by all parties involved in these drill line slip and cut operations All parties on site to comply with Total Drilling’s relevant well design procedure and guideline information for drill line slip and cut operations. (Check and confirm all necessary wire ropes, slings, shackles, tools are prepared and ready for use for this task / operation and ANY tools required for the TDS location in the derrick can be safely tied off to pre
