When routing a differential pair, the complementary signals must be matched in length (0.5 mil). No right angle is allowed (for the differential signal pair routing). If the signal routing has to be changed from one layer to another then care must be taken when adding via with respect to the return current (use GND via). Both traces of a differential pair must have a 50 Ohm impedance to ground without any Vias act as strong impedance discontinuities; avoid them in the differential traces. The two traces of a differential pair must be loosely coupled and the traces should be far enough apart to ensure low direct coupling between each other.
