The first periodStep I Warm up
1. Talk about the world map. Tell some vacation resorts around the world.
2. Ask some Ss to come forward and point to a place they would like to go to. Ask the Ss what they think they would see there.
Step II Talking
1.????? Play the Pupil’s Book Cassette. Ask the Ss to repeat after it.
2.????? Ask the Ss to work in pairs. They should role-play and continue the conversation using the locations and words shown in the pictures.
Step III Part B1.
1. Bring in eight boxes in different sizes or colors. Put one box aside. Write name tags for the boxes. Use the names of the students. Write more than one student’s name on two of the boxes and include your name plus a student’s name on the box.
2. Place the boxes in the front of the class in a random order. Call out the name on the box. Ask the Ss to come up and stand at the front by their box if their name is called. Then ask the class “Where’s (student’s name)? Tell the Ss to point. Then say as you lift up the student’s box. “Yes.This is hers/his/ours/theirs.” Write these words on the board after you say them.
Step IV B2
Bring in a leaflet or brochure in English about a holiday destination. Photocopy it for the class.
Tell the Ss to read through through the brochure and decide what they would like to do if they went on holiday to that destination.
