This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Abstract It’s a hidden but beautiful spot to analyze from a pragmatic perspective to “A Dream of Red Ma n- sions” which is a culmination of Chinese expressed masterpiece. From the “direct speech act” and “indirect speech acts” and its context relations perspective and dialogue can further be seen that a sense of proportion, the language of the characters in “Dream of Red Mansions” is rather precise and appropriate. From the “principles of cooperation”, we talk about the principle of quantity, principle of quality , principles of relation, principle of manner and find out that every character of the original words are in life and beyond life, which can be described as a living textbook of verbal communication.
