摘要AbstractSincethereformandopeningup,allregionsofChinahavetakenvarious measurestoattractforeigninvestment.Theeconomyofthemaswellasthelocal financehadbeendevelopingrapidly.SodidithaveanyrelationshipbetweenFDI inflowandfinancialdevelopment?Thispaperhasdonesomerelatedresearch accordingto the statistical dataof ChongqingChinafrom 1997 to 2011.Firstly,thispaperreviewsbrieflythetheoriesofFDIandfinancialdevelopment. Atthesametime,accordingtothereality,thepapertheoreticallytriestoexplainthe relationshipbetweenFDIinflowandregionalfinancialdevelopment:Theinflowof FDIisconducivetothedevelopmentoffinanceandfinancialdevelopment promotion.Secondly,thisstudyanalysesthecurrentsituationofFDIinflowandfinancial developmentofChongqing.FDIinflowscaleofChongqingissharprisinginrecent years,hitonebillion-dollarin2011,butitisfarlowerthanShanghaiandTianjin. Accordingtoforeigninvestmentsource,itisaccountedforvastmajorityfromHong Kong,MacaoandTaiwan,andmostinvestmentfocusonlabor-intensiveexport processingindustry,SoChongqingneedtoattracthigh-techindustryandservice industryfromthedevelopedcountriesinEuropeandAmerica.Inrecentyears, Chongqingfinancehasdevelopedrapidlyandfinancialsystemiswellimproved,the proportionoffinancialindustryaddedvalueinGDPisincreasing,achieveto7%in 2011.FromFIR,itisobviouslylowerthanBeijingandShanghai,whichshows Chongqing’sfinancial industrycanget further development.Thirdly,accordingtostatisticaldatafrom1997-2011inChongqing,thispaper studiesempiricallytherelationshipbetweenFDIinflowandfinancialdevelopment by usingunitroottest,JohansencointegrationtestandGrangercausalitytests.Itshowsthatthereisalong-termequilibriumrelationshipamongFDIinflow、FIRandFE.Specifically,FDIinflowcorrelatedpositivelywithFIRandFE.Grangercausalitytest shows FIR andFE have remarkableeffect onFDIinflow.Atlast,accordingtoanalysisconclusion,thispapermakessomepolicy suggestions.AsfarasChongqingbecomingeconomicandfinancialcenterinthe upperreachesoftheYangtzeRiver,thestudyputforwardsomeopinionsrespectively
