Reading : She said helping others changed her life.

In this lesson, students will learn how to report what someone else said. Review the target language in Section A and B.
Teaching aims:
Encourage students to be aware of needs in their community, and how they can be of help. And after learning the passage, students can realize the scent still remains after you present a rose to others.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
T: Taking photos is my hobby. Now let me show you some photos of mine.
(Design ideas and comments: The photos about the rural area can reming the studentsimpression of rural area easily. Especially, the photo of Ms Big Eyes impresed us a lot. These photos can arouse the students thinking beyond themselves and their family, to include the community, other countries and the world as a whole. Its an effective way.)

Step 2 Presentation
T: From the photos, we know the children in rural area need help. They want to go to school to learn knowledge to change their lives. If you have chance, would you like to help them?
Ss: Yes, we want to help them.
T: But how can we help them? Today, lets know a girl whose name is Yang Lei. She said helping others changed her life. Do you want to know her experience? Thats todays topic. Please read the passage quickly and answer the following five questions.

Step 3 Slow-reading
T: Now read the passage again and answer the questions with completed sentence3s.

Y: Just now, I said taking photos is my hobby. Can you find the similar sentences in this passage? The -ing form is used as subject.
