The aetiological studies and diagnosis technologies of the two diseases were reviewed in terms of etiology，detection methods and their applications in this paper. Combined with the practice of entry-exit animal inspection and quarantine in China，the applications of quarantine technology of the above epidemic diseases were discussed. Suggestions were put forward，in view of specific situations of different animal species and the selection of diagnostic methods and reagents.
