Golden rules 1. Always read the Teacher’s Book. 2. Always look at each unit globally. 3. Ask yourself what the objectives or aims of the unit are. 4. Always plan a lesson. ?? Number games 1. Call out 2 numbers and change the cards. 2. Make a circle and hold a number card, then say the number in order. Extra vocabulary: Letters A-Z Ordinal numbers 1st-10th week month or other new words 3. Practice objects and numbers and colours. Example Teacher Give a story or a sentence. Students Using the cards to form them in order. e.g. Yesterday I saw eleven orange birds at the zoo. The students who hold the cards will stand in a correct line to show the pictures or the words. 4. Practice colours and numbers e.g. Teacher Put the orange pen on number 4. (pair work or group work) e.g. yellow = 5 brown = 11 orange = 8 green = 2 gray = 7 red = 9 Teacher Number 5 Students yellow Teacher “Find a green house” Student 1 “Page 10” Teacher “Find Sam riding a bike” Student 2 “Page 4” One little tip here is to restrict the pages they can use for the quiz. Tell them that all the questions must come from the first 10 pages. This way the students won’t spend too much time looking for the answers! ? 2. Make good use of the pictures Example Listen and point (The students have the pictures or put them on the wall.) Imagine you have two pictures—one of a zoo and one of a farm. Divide the class into two groups, tell one group they are the “zoo” and tell the second group they are the “farm”. Now describe things from different pictures. The students have to listen and stand up if it is about their picture. Teacher “There is a lion.” Students Zoo students stand up. (as it is in their picture) Teacher “There is a pig.” Students Farm students stand up. (as it is in their picture) You ca
