The Library started to serve both the residents of the City of San Jose, and the students and faculty at SJSU in 2003. Since then, the Library has been providing high quality services to the city and campus communities. With its unique partnership and contributions to both public and academic communities, the Library has received a number of awards and recognitions. This presentation will review the initiative of the joint library project, the design and planning process, and the construction of the new library building. It will also report the management and operation of the joint library, the library services for the public and academic communities, and discuss problems and solutions.
