Speaking: Use modeled phrases and sentences to communicate with teachers and other learners. Maintain an interaction by providing information in response to factual or ‘Yes/No’ questions. Use appropriate intonation in questions and statements. 3. Reading: Predict the meaning of unfamiliar words by using context or picture cues. Locate specific information in a short text in response to questions. B: Further aims: Add some other information as many as possible. Language focus: 1. Using modals to ask for permission. 2. Using predicative adjectives to describe conditions. Materials and aids: Student’s Book 5A page 51 Cassette 5A and a cassette player Workbook 5A page 30 Word and Picture Cards 5A A blank tape Pictures of Ocean Park Unit position: Students can use modals to ask for permission. They can also use predicative to describe conditions. In this period, they will continue to practice these sentences.
