Teaching aims
1 Knowledge aims Learn the present continuous tense,talk about what the animal is doing.
2 Affections To enjoy the animals activities,to love the animals.To educate foreign languages’ communication skills.
Teaching focus points The words:
flying,running,swimming,walking,jumping.
Sentenses Look at the rabbit.It is jumping….What is the rabbit(…) doing?It is jumping.(…).
Difficult points
1 Ss forget another“ n”and “ m” in the words running and swimming.
2 Sometimes Ss forget to say “is” in the present continuous tense.
Teaching aids Word cards ,Tapes and recorder,CAI ,hair dressers.
Teachinng steps
1 Review the animal words ,the present continuous vocabulary and sentenses in unit4 What are you doing?I am drawing pictures.(…)【Design aims:To enlighten Ss’ study interests,preparing for the new language teaching】
2 Let’s chant.Swim,swim,I can swim.(…)Review the verbs.【Design aims:TO avoid Ss forget the verb origional form after they learn the present continuous form.To prepare for the verbs’ present continous form】
3 T shows flash,
T:The animals live in a forest.They are happy.Guess!What are the animals doing?Some Ss can say the sentences.【Design aims:Ss can feel the words in a whole situation,they can connect the words together,connect the knowledge.This is a good learning habbit.It’s important to train Ss good habbits in teaching period.】
T:What can the bird do?Ss:It can fly.
T:Look at the bird.What is the bird doing?
SS;It is flying.
T:Yes,the bird is flying.T’s writing showing and teaching.T uses cards to let more Ss to practise the words.【Design aims:Use flash to arouse Ss’ strong desire to learn English,from easy word flying to other words. In the basic tesching step,T teaches more carefully to help Ss grasp basic knowledge well】
