Say hello to the children warmly. 2. Finish activity 4 and let the children act out before the blackboard. Step 2 Look and say: What isn’t right? 1. Look at the pictures carefully. 2. Say something unreasonable. 3. The answer is: (1) They’re playing football, but it’s raining. (2) He’s wearing a T-shirt, but it’s cold. (3) He’s wearing a coat, but it’s hot. (4) She’s wearing a hat and sunglasses, but it’s windy. (5) He’s flying a kite, but there’s no wind. Step 3 Game: Why-Because 1. Divide the class into several groups. 2. Practice in a group of three. 3. The sentences may be as following: A: What are you going to do this afternoon? B: I’m going to watch TV at home. A: Why? B: Because it’s going to rain. Step 4 Look and listen 1. Let the children look at the pictures carefully. 2. Practice in pairs and discuss the time and relevant activity. 3. Finish the table. 4. Ask a pair of student to show their dialogue before. 5. The transcript is as following: The Smart family is on holiday. Sam: It’s a beautiful day, Mum. When are we going to go swimming? Ms Smart: We’re going to have breakfast at 8. Then, at 8:30, we are going to go by bus to the beach. We are going to go swimming at 9. Amy: And when are we going to go cycling? Ms Smart: At 10:30. Then at 11:30, we are going to go to the park and we are going to have a picnic lunch at 12. Sam: What are we going to do in the afternoon? Ms Smart: We’re going to look at a big ship at 2 and then at 4 we are going to go to the theatre. Mr. Smart: Can I ask a question? Ms Smart: Of course. Mr. Smart: When are we going to have a rest? 6. Now ask and answer in pairs according to the text. Step 5 Talk about the photos 1. Look at the pictures carefully. 2. Ask and answer in pairs. 3. Say and guess.
