Point at and talk about the three pictures in each number. ? T: What’s this? (Point to soda.)[Ss: It’s soda.] ? T: (Pantomime drinking the soda.) I’m thirsty. Repeat. [Ss: I’m thirsty.] ? Model the first sentence in each group, then have Ss make the other sentences. Using the book ? T: Let’s listen to the tape. ? Play the tape for number l, then pause. ? T: Which picture and sentence is it? Is it this one? (Point to the picture of steak.) ? T: Number l is “I’m hungry.”(Trace the circle.) ? Continue with the other three numbers. Extension activity TBp.12 Practice2 Getting ready ? Write Are you thirsty? And Do you have a ruler? On the board. ? T: Are you thirsty? (Point to S l.) [S l.: Yes, I am. / No, I’m not.] ?
