Ask friends and neighbors if they have seen your pet and if so, when and where. Place notices, preferably with a picture of the missing pet near the location where it was lost, at local pet stores and other businesses in the area. Visit all local animals centers, vet clinics. Place advertisements in the Lost and Found parts of the local newspapers. Check with us regularly as we impound(收留) new animals each day. Found Pets If you have found a stray dog or cat please call us at 905-683-7575. We will check our lost animals reports to see if someone has reported the animal missing. If we cannot find the owner of the animal, arrangements can be made to have animal services staff stop by to pick up the animal. Once the animal is in our possession, animal services staff will do the following: Examine for a microchip. Check our lost animal reports to see if we have a potential owner. If no possible owner is found, animal services staff will send the animal to the animal shelter where it will be housed for the remainder of its stray period.
