Sons and Lovers by D.H.Lawrence Lawrences views on love Several pairs of lovers Mr. Morel and Mrs Morel Paul and Miriam Paul and Clara Paul and Mrs Morel Paul and Miriam Miriam female is of less status religious zeal afraid of any thought relating to sex, including marriage and having a baby Paul delicate sensitive moody quiet shy Paul and Miriam share common interest cannot release sexual passion suffocating she wants to possess his soul Paul and Clara Clara is the opposite of Miriam and she can satisfy Paul sexually, they desire but they couldn’t love. Paul loves his mother so much that he wants to be with her and spend all of his time with her. To live with his mother by himself is his greatest desire.
