WELCOME On behalf of Film Life, Inc., it is an honor and a pleasure to welcome you all to the 17th Annual American Black Film Festival in Miami Beach, Florida. For the last 17 years, we have solidified our reputation as the preeminent film festival for filmmakers and artists of African descent. I am humbled by the generosity of our corporate sponsors and the unwavering support from you, the Festival attendees. I am incredibly grateful to HBO and Cadillac for their trust, extraordinary support of our mission and for allowing us to be so closely associated with such prestigious brands. At the start of each Festival, it is always my hope that this event is experiential and interactive for Festival attendees and it provides new opportunities for film enthusiasts to discover and enjoy amazing films, artists and filmmakers.
