第40讲阅读理解:Telling Tales about People(二) 职称英语综合B精讲课件培训资料.ppt
2014年 职称英语综合C 阅读理解 主讲老师:叶晓 Telling Tales about People讲述关于人的故事 (第一段) One of the most common types of nonfiction(n.非小说类文学作品), and one that many people enjoy reading, is stories about peoples lives. These stories fall into(分成) three general(adj.大致的) categories(类型): autobiography(自传), memoir(回忆录), and biography(传记). (第二段) An autobiography is the story of a persons life written by himself or herself. Often it begins with the persons earliest recollections and ends in the present. Autobiography writers know the events they write about because they lived them. But biography writers have to gather information from as many different sources as possible. Then they have to decide which facts to include. Their goal is to present a balanced picture of a person, not one that is overly positive or too critical. A fair well-presented biography may take years to research and write. (第三段)Memoirs, strictly
