Application Form The Puget Sound Public Radio Program Venture Fund (PVF) was established in 2003. The purpose of the fund is to provide support for public radio programming relevant to the Puget Sound region. I. General Information There are two PVF grant rounds each year with deadlines in March and November. Proposals may be submitted outside of regular grant rounds with the approval of the KUOW General Manager. Applicants may request up to $25,000 from the PVF. Most grant awards are in the $3,000 to $6,000 range. Additional sources of funding are encouraged but not required. Projects must be completed within 18 months of the grant award. Broadcast rights are owned by Puget Sound Public Radio. II. Application Process Consultation Prospective applicants must consult with KUOW Senior Editor Jim Gates prior to submitting an application. [ jgates@ ] Preparation A PVF application form must be completed for each proposed project. An electronic copy of this document is available at KUOW.org/pvf/. The following are required Cover Sheet Project Description and Timetable (Attachment A) The description must include: a) a summary of the project including how it conforms to the purpose of the PVF; b) a timetable with specific deadlines for deliverables; and c) a detailed description of the type and length of each proposed program/segment including the prospective interviewees, suggested use within KUOW programming, and supporting materials (photographs, graphics, web galleries, etc.) for inclusion the KUOW web site.
