In Heading South he showed the living status like clothes, food, shelter and travel of the Yunnan-Burma border minorities. At the same time, adding a variety of border images for the portraits of modern literary.The paper sorts out Ai Wu’s wandering experience before he wrote Heading South, and the exotic experience became the most important writing materials of him.
