Conclusion and Recommendations Conclusion Recommendations Abstract According to the national reading investigation of Chinese Institute of Publishing Science, every year we read only 4.5 books per capita, much lower than that in South Korea, France, Japan and Israel. It occurs not only because we do not have the time to read but because we do not have enough libraries. Based on the study of the American Library Association, every 10,000 people use a public library. However, in China about 488,000 people use a public library. Moreover, in Yantai more than 6.4 million people share only one public library. Having sent 20 questionnaires and researched many secondary sources and on the Internet, we found that Yantai needs more public libraries. More Public Libraries for Yantai According to the national reading investigation of Chinese Institute of Publishing Science, every year we read only 4.5 books per capita, much lower than that in South Korea, France, Japan and Israel. It occurs not only because we do not have the time to read but because we do not have enough libraries and there are not enough books for us to read.
