一般过去时用法归纳（一） 一、定义： 一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，也可以表示过去习惯性、经常性的动作。一般过去时只说明过去的事情，不强调动作对现在的影响。 一般过去时常与表示过去的时间状语或从句连用，如：yesterday,（昨天） last week（上周）, in 1993（在1993年）, at that time（在那时）, before（从前）, a few days ago（几天前）, 等等。 二、什么时候用一般过去时？ 1 带有确定的过去时间状语时，要用过去时 yesterday或以其构成的短语：yesterday morning(afternoon, evening)等； 由“last+一时间名词”构成的短语：last night, last year (winter, month, week)等； 由“时间段+ago”构成的短语：a moment ago, a short time ago, an hour ago等； 其它：just now the other day（前几天）,once upon a time（很久以前）, in the old days（过去的日子里）, at the age of 10（在十岁时）, this morning/afternoon/evening（今天早上/下午/晚上）, at+一个时间点
