Believing that Relational database software held the key to efficiently storing and managing data, they developed and delivered the first commercial database in 1979. They named their product Oracle, based on a project that the three had worked on for the CIA, at a company called Antax. 1980s, the company released Oracle V3, and the portable database system that ran on multiple performance platforms. SDI changed its name to Relational Software Inc. (RSI). During 1982, RSI became Oracle Systems Corporation – then later, Oracle Corporation. 1990s, Oracle Corporation again experienced a staggering and ‘tail blazing’ decade in the IT industry. The company released Applications Release8 and Oracle7 Database software, and in 1995 announced its comprehensive internet strategy.
