Ss will be able to make the traditional main dish in it. ( Ingredients and instructions) 3. Ss will be able to improve the writing ability to write Chinese traditional festival by reading effectively. 三、Emotional goals情感目标 1. Ss will able to learn to give thanks in their life after learning the moral of Thanksgiving. 2. Ss will be able to enjoy the fun of cooking traditional food. Meanwhile, Ss will be able to discuss the differences between Chinese traditional festival and western traditional festival. 教学重点 常见问题 解决策略、理由及实践效果 核心词汇celebrate, main, dish, oven, gravy，etc.的教学策略。 目标句型“It is a time to do... Sb.give thanks for... celebrate sth by doing...”的教学建议。 （3）学会如何制作火鸡步骤，并能熟练用first, next, then, finally 等这些关联词的教学策略. 1. 大量的词汇不仅会干扰影响学生的阅读，而且学生在运用目标词汇介绍节日时也会遇到障碍。 2. 如何理清文章的脉络，帮助学生建立起有效的知识框架去介绍传统节日。 （1）在课前热身中，先给学生欣赏一首关于“Thanksgiving day” 的歌曲，在听的过程中，让孩子带着问题去欣赏，猜猜这首歌的主题是什么？课前歌曲的欣赏既能激发学生学习的兴趣，又能很自然的导入到本课时的内容：Thanksgiving.在引出话题后，因为学生对于西方的感恩节或多或少有些了解，所以老师设置Let’s Know about Thanksgiving!这个环节，在这一环节中提出几个简单的关于感恩节的问题，自然的导入本课中的部分新单词。 虽然学生对感恩节有一些了解，但还不很全面。所以激发起学生的好奇心，他们想对感恩节了解更多，这样就很顺利的进入到对文章的学习。在Let’s Get Close to Thanksgiving!这一环节中，再帮学生一起学习消化剩余新单词。 （2）在学生解决了文章中的核心词汇后，学生在扫读了全文后，对于西方的感恩节有了一定的了解。接下来是要对文章进行进一步分析，所以老师设计了Let’s Celebrate Thanksgiving!这一环节，让我们的学生一起来感受感恩节的氛围。而在这一环节中，导入重点句型“It is a time to do... Sb.give thanks for... celebrate sth by doing...”，然后再根据这些句型让学生自己举例我们日常生活一些节日，eg:Mothers day is a time to give thanks for mother. We celebrate our birthday by eating noodles. 通过这些简单的操练让学生能自己运用目标句型。 为了再次强化记忆单词Ask the Ss to read and answer the questions --Ask the Ss to read again and fi
