This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Open Access Abstract With rapid development of the society, people pay more attention to the quality of lives, especially the environmental conditions: the weather phenomenon as the haze and mist and PM2.5. As the hottest wireless communication technology, ZigBee-based environmental monitoring system is designed and discussed in this paper. From the perspectives of technical research and practical application, it elaborates the design of the environmental monitoring on the cost-effective Chip CC2530, which implements a variety of functions including data collection, data transmission through ZigBee, data processing through Web Server and data monitoring through intelligent terminal.
