Starting from the current situation of county economic development in Guangxi, this paper focuses on the analysis of the county economic problems in Guangxi, and considers that the development of characteristic industries is an effective way to promote the development of county economy in Guangxi. First, the status of Guangxi County Economic Development Among the 88 county-level administrative divisions in Guangxi, there are only 13 municipal districts, 75 county-level cities, counties and autonomous counties, accounting for 85.23% of the counties. The county land area accounts for more than 84% of the total land area, and the county population accounts for 79.36% of the total population. Although the scale of county economy in Guangxi is small, its position in Guangxi is very special, and its function is very important. At present, the 75 counties and cities which are included in the statistical category of county economy can be divided into five types: industrial leading type, service leading type, agricultural leading type, forestry leading type and fishery leading type. Industry leading counties and cities take industry as the leading source of the national economy and the main source of fiscal revenue. Industrial output accounts for more than 50% of GDP. Service oriented cities and counties are concentrated in the border areas, mainly using the advantages of geographical location, prominent logistics, trade, tourism and other three industry development, the proportion of the third industry is as high as 50%.
