少儿英语教学流程
We have five stages to plan a lesson of teaching kids English.
The first stage: Greeting:
Greeting is the stage when you start your lesson. You can greet to kids in order to let them get more familiar about you. Some conversation is enough.
Like: Good morning/afternoon/evening.
Hello! / Nice to meet you. /how do you do?
How old are you? /How are you? Etc.
The second stage: Warm up
Warm up is just the meaning of its own. It combines some activities to active the class. It can make kids move, sing, and intelligence develop…
Here are some ideas about the warming up:
1: Review: review the contents you learnt last lesson. (you can design some activities. For example: brainstorm)
2: Close to the contents you goanna teach in the lesson.
3: Just let kids move their body and feel enthusiasm about the class.
The third stage: Presentation
In order to absorb the attention of kids, a fantastic introducing seems very important. Presentation is leading in the new contents you goanna teach this lesson. There are lots of ways. Such as : situation teaching approach, TPR teaching approach, story teaching method, song teaching method…
So a good presentation is a good beginning!
The fourth stage: Practice
After teaching all the words or sentences, teacher needs to design activities to practice those contents.
What kinds of activities are good for practicing? What should we notice during the stage?
Usually games are the power weapon. Like: touching game, 123 hands up, cowboys, maker and finger, big man of wealthy… But it’s suitable for junior degree. For the kids who are older, games need to be more intelligent.
During the practicing, we should pay attention to dynamic and static combination. Some kids like competition. Some dislike it.
Try to balance.
The last stage: production
Teacher needs the sense of achievements Which comes from learning effects. So the stage is the time.
Let kids speak out contents they learn today without teacher and other kids helping.
