Problem Solving Devices We learn to handle our problems by using God’s Word. Everyone in the human racepossesses an old sin nature as a result of Adam’s original sin in the garden. We are all born into the slave market of sin (see Romans 5:12-19). What is Sin? Lawlessness is sin. 1 John 3:4 All unrighteousness is sin. 1 John 5:17 Whatever is not from faith is sin. Rom. 14:23 A proud heart, haughty eyes is a sin. Prov. 21:4 Those who know the right thing to do and doesn’t do it, this is a sin. James 4:17 He who sins against me does harm to himself. Impersonal Love for Man 9. Happiness of God 10. Occupation with Christ 1. Rebound Rebound is simply acknowledging any known sin to God the Father (see 1 John 1:9). This is important so we can have fellowship with God. Rebound is an emergency procedure for the believer when he falls into sin. Remember sin is inevitable since we all possess an old sin nature and volition. There is no emotion involved with Rebound. There is no such thing as crying tears of repentance.  We sin because we like to sin. Sin gives us pleasure for a season the Bible says. So it is deceiving oneself to think that we don’t like to sin. We sin because we give in to the old sin nature, which was imputed to us at the moment of physical birth.  Every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is a royal priest (see 1 Peter 2:9). Rebound is one of the functions of the believer’s royal priest. What is a royal priest? It is one who represents himself before God. Rebound is a problem solving device for the sins of the believer. It is a descriptive term. Rebound is a technique. It is simply admitting your sins to God the Father (1 John 1:9). Rebound is designed by God so that the believer can bounce back from sin.
