cava involvement was higher than renal cell carcinoma without venous tumor thrombus(P0.05).There was no difference between renal cell carcinoma with renal vein and inferior vena cava involvement (P0.05),and there was no difference between all grades of renal cell carcinoma with inferior vena cava involvement(P0.05).Among 27 cases of renal cell carcinoma with venous tumor thrombus，the expressionlevel of VEGF in male was not higher than female (P＝0.621), and age 60 was not higher than≥60(P＝0.342). There was no association between VEGF expression and tumour stage in all renal cell carcinoma with tumor thrombus (P＝0.179),andthe difference between conventional ,papillary and chromophobe RCCs was not significant (P＝0.583).Conclusions: There was a significant correlation between VEGF expression and renal cell carcinoma with renal vein or inferior vena cava involvement,and the expression of VEGF may play an important role in renal cell carcinoma with venous tumor thrombus .
