范文赏析（等分型） Some people say that more museums and art galleries should be built while others disagree. Which side do you support? An increasing number of countries have been investing a considerable sum of funds in construction of museums and art galleries. Meanwhile, the necessity of building more of the institutions has been doubted widely. In this essay I will discuss the issue of whether the construction is worthwhile before revealing my own ideas. Educators and historians insist that it is absolutely necessary to build more museums and galleries. To start with, the institutions showcase the brilliant history and culture of a country. For instance, the British Museum impresses visitors with its rich collection of historical and culture relics. Secondly, museums and galleries serve as an educational base which provides valuable educational experiences. For children, the institutions strengthen the lessons they learn at school and open new worlds of interest. For parents, the visiting experience is a perfect time to explore with kids and share a journey of discovery. Some others, however, are suspicious of the necessity of setting up more museums and galleries. Primarily, the places are quite money-consuming. To be more specific, their maintenance fee, employment payment and expenditure on purchase of exhibits are huge spending for the government that supports the institutions. More importantly, it is particularly unacceptable for the government to take money from the poor in taxes to spend in building museums and galleries, which are only the entertainment of the rich. The taxpayers’ money should be made full use of to benefit the common people, especially the disadvantaged, since the government has a limited budget.
