华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract Since the reform and opening up, the problem of insufficient consumer demand in China has become increasingly prominent, leading to an unfavorable factor restricting the economic development of our country. The author thinks that residents’ income distribution gap is an important reason for the lack of consumer demand; this paper aims to further analyze the impact of residents’ income distribution gap on consumer demand in China. At the beginning of this paper, I have discussed many current researches from both at home and abroad on the impact of residents’ income distribution gap on the consumer demand, and then analyzed the current situation of residents’ income distribution gap and consumer demand in China. On this basis, this paper combines theoretical analysis and empirical analysis to analyze the impact of the residents’ income distribution gap of our country on consumer demand. In the part of theoretical analysis, the author first has some discussion about the impact of residents’ income distribution gap on consumer demand in classical theories, and then combines with the consumption characteristics of residents in our country, pointing out that through the residents relative income level, uncertainty expected, liquidity constraints, bequest savings tendency, the average propensity to consume and consumption recursion mechanism, the residents’ income distribution gap affects residents’ final consumption. In the part of empirical analysis, using the measurement analysis method of co-integration test and granger causality test, the author has analyzed the result of the part of the theoretical analysis, and results show that on the one hand, the residents’ income distribution gap of our country is an important reason for the decline of the residents average propensity to consume; on the other hand, the widening of income distribution gap causes the widening of residents’ consumption level gap, which seriously restricts
