The topic is about seasons. By studying of this lesson, we’ll enable students to know how to use “What’s your favourite season?” and develop the interest in English. Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of this book, if the students can master it well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of this book. Part 1 Teaching Material Analysis As we know, the students have learned some words of fruits:apple、orange、watermelon… But most of them come from the countryside, they are lack of the chance to practice English, so in my class, I’ll use the following methods: Total Situational Action Six Steps teaching method Part 2 Teaching Participants Analysis 1. knowledge aim: (1)The Ss can master the usage of the important phrases: eat ice cream, go swimming, eat moon cakes, go skating. (2)The Ss can master the dialogue: T: What’s your favourite season? S: I like spring. T: Why? S: Because I can fly a kite. Part 3 Teaching Aims Analysis 2. ability aim: (1) To improve students’ speaking and writing abilities by reading and practicing the dialogue. (2) To train the students’ ability of working in pairs. 3. emotion aim: By completing the dialogue, the students increase their interest in English and pay more attention about their daily life. Part 3 Teaching Aims Analysis The important and difficult points are how to help all the students to use the new phrases: “ What’s your favourite season? I like/love…”; “why?” and “Because I can…” to make new dialogue. Par
