On Body Language in Nonverbal Communication from the Perspective of Gender Culture
Abstract: Interpersonal communication is composed of two forms; verbal communication and non-verbal communication. 65% information is conveyed through nonverbal communication. And body language is the most common and universal nonverbal behaviors. Because of different gender cultures, body languages have different meanings and the communication varies from people to people.

Ⅰ.The purpose of study
Nonverbal communication is behavior other than written or spoken language that creates meaning .Body language is the most common and universal nonverbal behaviors in communication .This thesis aims to investigate the different body language behaviors between men and women in light of nonverbal communication and gender culture.
Ⅱ.Body Language and Gender Culture
1. Body Language
Body language includes gestures, postures, facial expressions, eye contact, touch, body positions, and other kinds of nonverbal behaviors relating to body movements.
2. Gender Culture
Gender is known as the social classification and masculine and feminine. So gender is a social creation, and is produced by society. Every society recognizes the sexual division into male and female, but culture differs in terms of what they consider masculine and feminine. In gender cultures, men and women in general have different perspectives on these matters. The difference in feminine and masculine styles frequently leads to misunderstandings in cross-gender interaction.
Ⅲ.Specific Gender Differences in body language
Researchers agreed that gender differences in body language include five aspects: posture, gesture, facial expression, eye contact and touch.
