Report from Task Force 4 and follow-up on resolutions 14 taken in Rio de Janeiro IEC-ILAC-IAF/3035/RPT This working group is dealing with the matter of how to ensure an appropriate boundary between certification and consulting services where these are provided by a certification body. There has been no progress on this task but there has been a change of convener. Thomas Facklam has passed the task on to Paul Moliski. Paul has informed the Chair of the Steering Committee that he will keep the Steering Committee informed of any action by Task Force 4 when relevant. * 7. Report from Task Force 5 and follow-up on resolutions 15 taken in Rio de Janeiro IEC-ILAC-IAF/3036/RPT This task force is addressing the matter of how accreditation body symbols are used on test reports. The Task Force convener, Joe Gryn, reported that no matters of concern relating to the use of AB symbols on test reports have been raised with the Task Force since the Steering Committee met in Rio de Janeiro in October 2012. At that time, the Steering Committee had agreed to put TF5 “on hold” until further information was provided to indicate that there is in fact a problem. Since no information has come forward since the last meeting, the TF convener recommended that the TF5 be disbanded. * Future Status of the new ISO/IEC 17067 – Mandatory or Guidance? IEC-ILAC-IAF/3037/DEC At the last Steering Committee meeting, the IEC-CAB delegation reported that the IECEE and IECEx Systems had expressed concerns about some changes in the DIS ISO/IEC 17067 draft concerning the classification of the different C.A. types. The Chairman noted that he had taken on the role of communicating with ISO/CASCO WG 32 on behalf of the IEC CABs and that in his capacity as IEC Coordinator he was assigned to bring the issues at the next meeting of the CASCO WG 32.
