As the complexity of the layout of the workshop, the traditional mathematical model to obtain the optimal layout of the program approach has been difficult to meet the needs of modern production methods.  Firstly, this paper gives a brief introductionin of the definition of workshop layout and workshop layout type in this article.And then the current situation of the workshop layout computer simulation and a brief introduction of FLEXSIM software and the current applicability of FLEXSIM in the plant layout is described. The main part of discussion is an example of a production plant model- ing and simulation workshop layout.In this paper, FLEXSIM,Which is the key technologies of the facility layout design, has established model simulation to both old and new layout scheme respectively. SLP methods regaeded as a supplement in this article.  Finally, by comparing the productivity of the workshopt, buffer utilization, the blocking rate of the processor, handling tools and other aspects of the reports of these two simulation programs, I come to the conclusion that establishing model simulation to workshop layout through the use of FLEXSIM,analysising for the simulation results and then improving the shortcomings of them can improve the efficiency of the workshop.
