The programs are eval ated in terms of effectiveness on controlling reservoir sedimentation, im- proving water q ality , preserving r noff retaining capacity, and restoring w ildlife habitats. Itemized and integral eval ations are cond cted thro gh economical analysis of the programs. M eas res incl ded in the itemized eval ation are check dam reforestation farm erosion con-, , trol, roadw ay erosion control, reservoir desilting, reservoir perimeter protection, landslide con- trol, and g lly erosion control. Itemized eval ation provides a basis for comparing the merits of different management meas res, w hile integral eval ation provides overall assessment on the effectiveness of the programs.
