Module 2 My New Teachers The Fourth Period Grammar Teacher: 冉梦莎 class: 高一（1）班 The general idea of this period In this period, we are going to introduce the v-ing form as object. Teaching Aims 1. Learn the v-ing form and master its usage as an object. 2.Some of the verbs can only be followed by v-ing as an object,not infinitive: admit, avoid, advise, allow, appreciate, consider(考虑), delay, enjoy, escape, fancy, finish, forbid, imagine, keep, mind, permit, practise, risk, suggest 3. Some verb phrases can be followed by v-ing as object: feel like, give up, can’t help, be/get used to, keep on, insist on, look forward to, put off, stick to, object to, be worth, be fond of, be good at, lead to, pay attention to 4. Some verbs can not only be followed v-ing form as object, but also can be followed to ,bu t the meaning is different. remember doing sth. 记得曾经做过某事 remember to do sth. 记住做某事 forget doing sth. 忘记曾经做过某事 forget to do sth. 忘记去做某事 stop doing sth. 停止做某事 stop to do sth. 停下来去做某事 try doing sth. 试着做某事（看行不行） try to do sth. 尽力做某事 regret doing sth. 对某事感到抱歉 regret to do sth. 后悔做过某事 mean to do sth. 打算做某事 mean doing sth. 意味着…… go on to do sth. 继续做另外一件事 go on doing sth. 继续做同意一件事 can’t help to do sth. 不能帮助做某事 can’t help doing sth. 禁不住做某事 Teaching Important Points 1.
