It includes equipment used in the process of power generation, transmission, transforming, dispatching and using. The transformer is one of the most important equipment in the power system and holds the balance in the system’s stability and reliability. According to the rules on system running and maintenance, the operationmaintenance personnel should check on the transformer termly to make sure the system running stably and safely. This dissertation summarizes the long-term expierence of the operationmaintenance personnel and analyzes the commen malfunction of the power transformer and also the corresponding exhibitions and possible causes. Then the dissertation illustrates three examples of transformer malfunction which were analyzed in detail and explained with detailed statics. It would be valueable reference material for personnel who work in the electric power system.
