Abstract The Chinese society and political situation was unrest,and the persons with lofty ideals who lived in that era put forward a variety of ideas about the future of china in the 1930s and 1940s.As a scholar with strong national sense of responsibility , Qian Mu did not forget to care about politics and proposed a series of political views. Facing the social situation and the trend of world politics, Qian Mu who is strongly influenced by Chinese traditional culture launched his unique views on the future of china and political system.The thesis aims at summarizing the main content of Qian’s political thoughts with his political essays.The main chapters include his comprehension on basing Chinese traditional culture and integrating word trend,democracy and sociocracy,orthodoxy and political system,the Three People’s Principles;his design on Five-power Constitution,the head of state,central and local system;his opinions about Anti-Japanese War, China’s future,national defense and nomocracy.On the basis of all above,the thesis tries to analyze the ideological characteristics of Qian’s political thoughts from three aspects: based on the spirit of the roots, balanced attitude and respected political scholars.
