This is a story of love Plot Outline Julianna Juli Baker meets Bryce Loski two days before the beginning of second grade; its something about those blue eyes that attract her. Juli knows its love, while Bryce, like any seven-year-old boy, doesnt. Juli stalks(追踪、偷偷接近) Bryce all through his childhood; staring at his house, asking him to play, following him at school, etc. But young Bryce did everything he can do to get rid of Juli , but it seemed uneasy way to do this, Because they went to the same school and lived across the street from each other. Juli enjoyed watching the sunrise sitting on a sycamore tree ,but one day many workers wanted to cut it down . Juli tried to protect it ,and also wanted Bryce to help her ,but Bryce refused . Juli failed and was sad,she didnt talk to anybody for a long time Unbeknownst（不知怎么地） to Juli, Bryce feels horribly about Julis tree, considering Juli asked Bryce to come up to protest with her but he declined. He frets（烦恼、焦急） over whether he could have made a difference, and contemplates（沉思、思忖、苦思冥想） many times apologizing to Juli but chickens out（临阵退缩） each time. Julis spirits are lightened when her father, who she admires more than anyone, paints her a picture of her sycamore tree. Juli hangs the picture in her room so shell always be reminded of what the tree represented for her. Juli gives Bryce and his family a batch of（一批、一炉） chicken eggs. Bryces family, however, has a concern—salmonella.（沙门氏菌） Julis yard has always been very messy, and the family is concerned about poisoning in the eggs. Bryces father tells him to just say no to Juli about the eggs, but Bryce ends up just throwing the eggs away before his parents come down for breakfast.
