As encouraged by the G20 and other international initiatives, more countries have introduced their own roadmaps or policies to developing green finance. In the financial market, various innovative green financial products and tools have emerged and developed very quickly. For example, the global issuance of green bonds was doubled in 2016, and grew another 78% in 2017, reaching 155.6 billion USD. This paper mainly takes stock of the latest global development in establishing green financial system and international collaborations, including discussions and collaborations under the G20, TCFD and NGFS, as well as the development in their domestic financial market.
